On Saturday, at Government House, Perth, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Patron, attended the 2009 Australian Women of the Year Association lunch.In the afternoon, the Governor- General, as Patron, received theChairman of Rotary Oceana Medical Air for Children Limited, Mr Ian Wright; thePresident of Abilympics, Ms Nadine Mather Brown; and a participant of Abilympics, Dr Phillip Deschamp.Earlier, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure fromAustralia of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, His Excellency MrGeorgi Parvanov, by Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC, an Honorary Aide-decamp. On Sunday, at St Catherine€™s College, Nedlands, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended a lunch hosted in their honour by Ms Yvonne Rate AM.Yesterday morning, Her Excellency the Governor received His Excellency Mr Carlos Sanchez de Boado y de laValgoma, Ambassador of Spain, and Mrs Torreguitar, accompanied by Ms Maria Gorriti, Trade Commissioner of Spain, at Government House.Subsequently, the Governor gave an Interview with ABC Radio Australia Chinese Service, regarding her upcomingvisit to Guangzhou for the 30th Anniversary of the Sister €“ State Relationship.News of the Governor-General€™s activities can be viewed at www.gg.gov.au/governorgeneral/gg-program.php.
